District 6460 Foundation Disaster Fund

After the tornado in the Pekin/Peoria/Washington area, Rotary members of the District 6460 were searching for ways to help. Steve Hopper, Chair of the Disaster Committee, suggested funds be donated to the Rotary District 6460 Foundation with the goal of assisting people living in those areas.

PDG Keith Lape, Chair of the District 6460 Foundation, has been receiving donations . Many clubs, some individuals , and some other sources havecontributed to the fund. Donations have been sent by clubs in our District and some members and Rotary Clubs from other parts of the state.

In fact, one donation was from Orlando, Florida.

A concert in Bloomington , IL raised over $480,000 , and about $20,000 of that was sent to the Distsrict 6460 Rotary Foundation. At the present, there is over $40,000 designated for tornado relief, but contributions are continuing to be sent.

The Disaster Relief Committee will determine the method of offering assistance.

Donations should be sent to
